Are you sure about that? Have you tried to look it up in the Oxford English Dictionary at the nearby library? .....probably not looking hard enough. Ok, I guess I have to come clean about the origin of word before you start to wonder WTF it is.....
People say smart things to impress their audience, but it seems to me that you need to be an expert, or at least being geeky enough about your subject, so you can demonstrate that you have the knowledge to back up your claims or ideas. However, I have to admit that I am not a smarty pants that I wish I could be. So there you have it, I am just bullshiting nonsense in front of you now and hope you don't mind.
